全てのシステム中毒に捧ぐ。
全米アルバムチャートで2005年に「メズマライズ」「ヒプノタイズ」の2枚のアルバムをそれぞれトップに送り込んだ後、活動休止となったシステム・オブ・ア・ダウン。
その中心メンバーでソング・ライターであるダロン・マラキアン(G&Vo)とジョン・ドルマヤン(Dr)がスカーズ・オン・ブロードウェイを結成。
二人は「このバンドは単なるサイド・プロジェクトなんかじゃない」と言い、精力的な活動を行う事をブチ上げた。
システムより「よりロックなサウンド」に仕上げたというアルバムの1stシングル「ゼイ・セイ」は早くも全米のラジオ局でリクエストが殺到している！

システム活動休止から2年以上経ったのかな?
活動再開を期待している人も多いんじゃないかな?
僕は新参ファンだから良く分からないけど･･･
今はサージ叔父さんがソロ活動真っ最中。
システムの魅力はあのダンディな声にあると思うんだなぁ･･･
だからといって今回のScars On Broadwayに期待できないワケじゃない。
なんたってダロンさんだもの。かの変態で有名な。
かつてはライヴに全身タイツで登場してきた彼を主体とするバンド。
その音楽性はかつてのSystem of a downと異なりながらも近しい何かも感じる。

個人的には洋楽に疎遠な人にもオススメしたい、System of a down。

ちなみに僕、既にScars On Broadwayは予約済み＾＾
「サイドプロジェクトなんかじゃない」というからには、期待するしかないでしょう･･･
ブログの方向性がちょっとずつ変わっていくかもしれませんよ。
